This makes the cordless battery power impact drivers suited for safe use in gas /vapor Zone 2 hazardous locations/ ATEX Zone 2 is the European equivalent for US, NEC Class 1 Division 2 equipment (C1D2).

Compliance with ATEX / EX regulations is achieved by modification of the battery and electronics together with the intrinsically safe electrical switching circuit, which makes the portable power tool suitable for safe use in hazardous locations. All features of the original product are preserved and can be used safely at hazardous locations.
The ATEX impact drill drivers can be ordered as a set with Body, Battery and Charge Station, and optional with additional spare batteries. Beside safe use as powerful EX impact driver , thanks to the 1⁄4 inch hex quick release system, the versions are also excellent for 1⁄4 “ hex bit drills, bols or Hex Bit Socket wrenches.
